Advanced Material Engineering Accomplishments
The work done by Stiefel on creatively extending material lifespans is apparent in silicon carbide ignition transformers, which resistive to temperatures of 1,400°C, PEEK-sealed valves which are chemically inert to aggressive fuels, and others. These materials, as with some shafts in one of our customer’s Mexican refineries, observed a 45% annual maintenance replacement cost reduction, lengthened maintenance intervals, and increased component lifespan.
